A little about me:

I am the artist.
I grew up in New Hampshire and although I have made my bed in Colorado, Florida and up-state NY, I now call New Hampshire home once again. I am an avid Phish Phan and have attended over 30 concerts since my first in Nashua, NH, Holeman Stadium (07-22-92) which opened my eyes to many things other than the jamminist band on the face of the earth. I am an artist by trade, but things have changed since I created the poster in 1994. I now work in a digital world rather than a world involving a pencil, paper and an ink well. This is not to say my fine art ambitions aren't alive and well, but digital design pays the bills.

I attended The Rochester Institute of Technology and The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. I have a degree in Graphic Design and a degree in learning how life works the hard way.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting the band in Clearwater, Florida (04-29-94) at the Boatyard Village Pavilion. In between too many over-inflated balloons and the usual concert parking lot mayhem, we noticed the band emerge from the venue as if they were exiting a bar as normal patrons. Unbelievable! They were very nonchalant about it and acted as if they were just hanging out with a group of friends. A crowd soon gathered around Trey who was standing near the entrance to their tour bus telling stories of band hijinx and recording label haiku's. They had just released the "Down with Disease" video on MTV. Mike was mobile, as usual, wondering around the lot. Page and Henrietta were entertaining a small crowd near the entrance to this very unique venue. This little sideshow lasted about 15-20 minutes prior to the actual show. Very cool.

I could go on for days about how this band has both inspired and molded a great portion of my life. I like to think that I explain that through my work with the poster.
